Price guide · 2026
How much does a website cost for a business?
The short answer: at a Danish agency a one-page site typically costs DKK 7,000–15,000, a standard website DKK 15,000–40,000, an advanced site DKK 30,000–80,000 and a custom-built solution DKK 50,000–150,000 or more. Domain, hosting and maintenance come on top every year.

The question of what a website costs has one answer on the surface and another underneath. On the surface it is the one-time price of getting the site made. Underneath it is what the site costs to own for three to five years: hosting, updates, fixes, security and the day it needs to do more than show text. The prices here are typical market ranges in Denmark, updated for 2026.
What does a website cost at an agency?
Typical market ranges at Danish agencies in 2026.
| Type of website | Typical price | What you typically get |
|---|---|---|
| One-page site | DKK 7,000–15,000 | One long page, contact form, basic SEO |
| Standard website | DKK 15,000–40,000 | Several subpages, blog, editable content |
| Advanced website | DKK 30,000–80,000 | Booking, multiple languages, integrations, bespoke design |
| Custom-built solution | DKK 50,000–150,000+ | Built from scratch for your business, login, your own flows |
What makes a website more expensive?
- The number of unique page types. Ten pages on one layout are cheaper than five pages that all look different.
- Design from scratch rather than an adapted theme, especially if a logo and visual identity are needed too.
- Features beyond text: booking, login, payments, file upload or a calculator.
- Integrations with e-conomic, Dinero, MobilePay, a CRM or a booking system.
- Multiple languages, where every page and every form exists in two versions.
- Content. If the agency writes copy, takes photos or migrates hundreds of old pages, the price goes up.
Freelancer, agency or custom-built: which should you choose?
The three routes compared on what matters after launch.
| Freelancer | Agency on a template | Custom-built | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starting price | Often the lowest | Low to medium | Highest on the market |
| Design | Depends on the person | Adapted theme | Made for your brand |
| Speed and security | Varies | Depends on plugins | No third-party plugins |
| If the person leaves | The project stalls | Someone else takes over | Someone else takes over |
| Can grow into a web app | Rarely | With effort | Yes |
There is no single right answer. If you only need a digital business card, a freelancer or a simple template is often enough. If the website is your main sales channel, or it needs to take bookings and talk to your accounting system, building it properly from the start pays off. We cover the technical side of the choice in Next.js vs WordPress, and the choice of supplier in freelancer vs agency.
What does it cost to keep a website running?
Running costs on the Danish market.
| Item | Typical price | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| .dk domain | DKK 50–150 per year | Should be registered in your own name |
| Hosting | DKK 500–3,000 per year | Cheap hosting is often slow hosting |
| Basic maintenance | DKK 200–600 per month | Updates and backups |
| Professional agreement | DKK 1,500–3,000 per month | Monitoring, support, small changes |
Why a cheap template can end up costing more
Cheap template
- Plugins and theme need constant updates, or security holes appear
- Paid plugins each carry their own yearly licence
- Slow pages cost Google rankings and mobile customers
- New needs are solved with one more plugin, until the site has to be rebuilt
Built from scratch
- No third-party plugins that break on an update
- Fast pages, because there is only the code you use
- Can be extended with login, booking or payments without a new platform
- You own the code and can take it with you
The most expensive website is the one that has to be rebuilt after two years. It happens more often than you would think, because a template is made for everyone and therefore fits nobody particularly well. If you already have a site that has become slow or hard to change, see how we approach a website redesign.

The packages have 12, 24 and 36 features and 1, 2 and 3 integrations, such as booking, e-conomic or MobilePay. The monthly price covers hosting, maintenance and updates, support, SSL and backups, so you do not need a separate maintenance agreement. See what is included under websites.
For the cleaning company Vaskekonerne, the website became the first link in a larger circuit: eight solutions that fit together, from the website and booking to operations. That is the kind of growth a site built from scratch can handle without starting over.
