Webshipper integration as a shipping hub

A Webshipper integration means that when an order is marked packed it becomes a shipment in Webshipper, and the label and tracking come back without the warehouse opening four carrier sites. Webshipper and Shipmondo compete in the same category. You must pick one. The value of the integration is the same: one pipe, several carriers, parcel shop in checkout. Already on Webshipper? Keep it. Already on Shipmondo? Keep it. On neither? Choose on price, the carriers you actually use, and whether the warehouse likes the UI. Not on which article you read first. When an order may ship, who pays freight, and what happens on a backorder is business logic. It belongs in your system.

Can you change hub later? Yes if you kept carrier choice and tracking on the order object on your side. If tracking only lives in the hub, you are married to it. Shipmondo integration.

Decision tree for a Webshipper integration

  1. Already on Webshipper? Keep it.
  2. Already on Shipmondo? Keep it.
  3. On neither? Choose on price, carriers and warehouse UI — not on the article you read first.

Keep the one you have

  • Keys, printers and habits are already paid for
  • The value of the integration is the same
  • Changing hub is a project, not a feature

You have no hub

  • List the carriers you actually ship with
  • GLS, PostNord, DAO, Bring
  • Let the warehouse see the UI before you sign
Same category. One choice. Two truths if you take both.

One API out. Several carriers behind it.

What you keep yourselves

When an order may ship. Who pays freight. What happens on a backorder. That is not Webshipper’s job. It is yours. The hub prints. You decide. A package from 18,000 DKK + 600 DKK/month holds the pipe, not the freight contracts. Pricing.

Keep tracking on the order object

Write tracking and carrier on the order on your side, so you can change hub without losing history. If the number only lives in Webshipper, you are married to it. Tell us which hub you have today.

FAQ: Webshipper integration

Can we change hub later?

Yes if you kept carrier choice and tracking on the order object on your side. If tracking only lives in the hub, you are married to it.

Webshipper or Shipmondo?

If you have one, keep it. If you have neither, choose on carriers, price and warehouse UI.

Who owns the backorder rule?

Your system. The hub prints what you send. It should not guess whether the order may leave.

Is Webshipper 1 or 4 integrations?

1 if you go through the hub. 4 if you insist on direct GLS, PostNord, DAO and Bring at once.
