Mistral integration means your engine layer can point at Mistral’s API — or a hosted variant — for text jobs, with the same log, cap and minimisation as the US models. For some boards and near-public suppliers, “where the model runs” is a real requirement. For most SMEs it is a plus, not a deal-breaker. Build the choice as configuration, not religion. Is Mistral “better at Danish”? Test on your language and your case types. Marketing lines about language are not a benchmark. The product the customer sees should not be named Mistral.
